Efficient power distribution systems
The RO-LINX® busbars product family is our promise to continue to offer power distribution systems made for performance excellence and customer confidence. RO-LINX laminated busbars serve as power distribution "highways", providing a customised liaison between the power source and capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits, integrated gate bipolar transistors and gate turn-off thyristors or complete modules.
Compared to conventional wiring methods, which can be cumbersome and time-consuming, RO-LINX busbars are efficient, modern power distribution systems offering the advantages of easy design, fast installation and a clear structure. Vertical, horizontal and on-board bussing deliver uniform electrical characteristics.

Custom designs for low inductance and partial discharge control
A laminated busbar is a critical component in a complete power module. Thanks to our experience and continuous search for innovations, Rogers has become a world leader in manufacturing laminated busbars. Our products' thin dielectrics and the flat laminar construction result in a high capacitance and low inductance, and thus in a very low characteristic impedance.
The technology of a laminated busbar demonstrates its quality level during partial discharge tests, where the integrity of the insulation is validated. Keeping the partial discharge level of the busbar under control ensures a long-lasting, reliable product. Besides the partial discharge test, our busbars withstand a high voltage test of up to 20kV, which is an assuring safety test for any occurring fault conditions.
Unique UL-rating for laminated busbars
UL-ratings for laminated busbars are often limited to the UL-94 flammability rating classes, but customers' end products may require compliance with the UL1741 or UL508C classes. Since a laminated busbar is not considered an end product, it cannot be directly listed to UL1741 or UL508C. When fulfilling the requirements in the UL746C test standard, however, it complies with specific requirements applicable for busbars used in power conversion equipment.
Rogers, in close co-operation with UL, has defined a new and complete UL-file by creating a modular and intelligent busbar construction. Tested against UL746C, it enables Rogers to use the UL-marking for almost any RO-LINX Performance busbar design in order to get your end product UL508C listed faster and more easily. The Rogers engineering team can help design the right busbar construction that meets this new UL-rating.
