Quadlogic selects Lantronix energy management technology

EBR Staff Writer Published 19 August 2011

Quadlogic, a provider of AMI meters and metering systems, has selected Lantronix' UDS1100 ethernet device server to enable serial-to-Ethernet conversion in its metering systems.

Quadlogic will offer remote access, monitoring and control of its energy metering technology over ethernet.

Lantronix said that the UDS1100 will enable Quadlogic to meet the growing demand for serial-to-ethernet conversion, that allows the company to network its metering devices in minutes and provide its customers with instant control and access to equipment.

The UDS1100 uses serial tunneling to encapsulate serial data into packets and transport it over ethernet.

The device's built-in web server enables Quadlogic to access and configure the UDS1100 from a standard web browser using Lantronix' development tools to customize the product for applications.

Lantronix is a provider of communication technologies that simplify remote access, management and control of any electronic device.
